Asim is a finance professional with over a decade of experience in accounting and business valuations. His specialties involve preparing valuation reports as well as fairness opinions for companies in the technology, mining, renewable energy, and oil and gas sectors.
After graduating from the University of Calgary, Asim began his career with KPMG in Toronto, where he audited the financial statements of companies that were listed on the TSX, TSXV, and NASDAQ stock exchange. After several years of working at a managerial capacity within KPMG, he spent three years in Constellation Software as a controller, where he managed the accounting as well as FP&A function of the two largest business units within his vertical. From there, his curiosity led him into the realm of business valuations, where he joined MNP Calgary’s business valuations practice and spent a few years learning business valuations in a structured environment. Asim then joined Evans & Evans to further expand his skill set into the different facets of M&A advisory work.
Asim holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting as well as Master’s of Science in Data Analytics. He is also a Chartered Professional Accountant and a Chartered Business Valuator.
